Las Vegas, NV. March 6, 2016 – On this Sunday morning there was rain and wind but it did not deter “Team LVSA” at the Las Vegas Spa Association (LVSA) 6th annual “Cancer Climb.” Members of the team were loaded onto vans and transported up the mountain to Red Rock Canyon. After a few clouds passed the sun greeted participants to a perfect day.
This highly anticipated annual LVSA event raised proceeds to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) which improves the quality of life of patients and their families. Event Co-Chair Nicole Halverson, Director of Spa & Salon at the Mirage led 40 hikers young and old along the 50 minute “climb”.
The post hike party was highlighted by CoCo Taps refreshments and numerous raffle prizes for the lucky winners in attendance. LVSA Board member, Michelle Wilkos stated, “This was our biggest event ever. We had spas, vendors, family and friends. What a great day, great event and great cause.”
The event raised over $4000 and still counting.
